Look,...I'm more sick of the heinous and venom slime tactics of the angry left...Here you have a Vice-President candidate who is a real change because she is different in the way she is a self made person and engages corrupt from within the party itself!...Got into politics as a Mom, and decided she will do better than those already there...and she did just that! City council, Mayor, in charge of the Alaskan Guard, Governer...Not only that,... she can frikkin field strip an M4 Carbine faster than me!... That alone wins me...I'm in love! My wife is jealous...But there is much, much more...

The far left is scared I understand that...They will look into whatever for attacking...whether it be children, babies, innuendo, third party innuendo...It's disgusting....AND IT WILL BACKFIRE!!!! Women across the country in general are getting pissed...Trust me, I have spoken to a women democrat at work and this does not sit well...If you are a true-blue bonafide new age progressive democrat...You might realize this attack tactic must be done...She is a real threat after all...But I have to say this will backfire...The more those in the media like CNN's Campbell or whoever leans toward drive-by leanings appear over the edge,...the more Palin gets attention for what she actually offers, and that is different layers of Executive experience, PLUS and more importantly, a demonstration to combat corruption...She is one of us...An outsider who got in the political machine and absolutely rolled heads for the better...She is much like the maid of New Orleans in the way she has inspired...A great story indeed!

But I say Continue with the attacks...It's transparent...Whatever you may grab onto...I understand...

Now that my statement is out of the way for the record...I am especially angry at Michael Moore making another documentary around election time...What is this gonna be another freaking Pep rally...You damnation back slappers need to just STOP IT!!!...! ....But I tell you what libs...I'll go see this one with you guys...THAT"S RIGHT! I will watch An American Carol I'll try to be objective to it...even though it's gonna be slanted as usual...I'll watch it with you guys

I have made this decision in the spirit of the themes of: ... 1. putting country first rather than party AND 2. celebrating accomplishment of working across party lines for the better (to get things done...remember this Congress with 16.8 % approval for not doing just that?)

So I say let's go champion a cause together,...I'm willing to surround myself with this bias because of getting it together for the common good...

    Later till after the speech...XOXO

Roxran, I'm in agreement. Palin is like a modern female version of "Mr. Deeds Goes to Washington" -- except that, if she wins, she's not going as a mere U.S. Representative.

I've talked to dozens upon dozens of working women who tell me they identify with her and will be supporting her. These are not "career" women but they are women who have responsible positions in their respective companies. The NOW leadership doesn't understand them in the least.

Rather than the usual pol who is very full of himself, Palin is more like a Republican Harry Truman, an everyday American with whom we can all identify. She knows what its like to shop a Walmart or dine at the Burger King or bundle kids to school or run a business or organize a moose hunt.

Yet, we as a people are scared of an everyday person who is smart, savvy, focused and honest. We crave an elite wunderkind, all wheels and gears ready for mischief -- maybe it's an age-old desire for a king or a queen to lead us serfs.

Palin and McCain won't win, but, sadly, neither will the American spirit.

    Oh good lord

    Exaggerate much?

Every poll out right now that follows this trend show that independent and democratic women were/are not impressed by this woman.

I am a woman, and I am a working woman who works with other working women, and I'm telling you--Many women do not feel that way about Palin. I have to go to work now, but I'll try to post more later.

Of all the melodramatic malarky manifested on this message board, the whiny mistruth above may be the worst.

Granted. However, please remember that I do not speak for women, just to women. I talk to men and women all over the United States on a daily basis. My impression -- mine -- is based on casual conversations, and they identify far more with Sarah Palin than Gloria Steinem.

    You think she'll win? :p

Why is not my right to provide hyperbole when you don't make the same complaint against the deification of Obama by some on this board?

    Red herring much?

I don't think I've ever deified Obama, nor have I praised those who do.

Anyhow, of course it's your "right" or whatever to write sappy quips about Palin and McCain as emblemic of the american spirit. Just don't be surprised when people laugh/gag reading it.

Actually Obama is a self made person who actually made more of himself than Palin did. Palin's appeal seems to come from the fact that she's an average or slightly below average joe with more gumption and ambition. I'm not sure why being average is a real plus for her.
Except that she hasn't really shown that she can fight corruption. She has shown that the McCain campaign has lied and exaggerated her record to create that myth. Thank goodness the truth is finally starting to come out.

Moore is a patriot in the truest sense of the word.

    But the movie looks hilarious.

Republican politicians compete to be more "average" 'cause they are all common everyday folk just like you and me, with none of that whiny liberal "philosophy" or elitest "education" to get in the way of living on taxpayer's money the way God intended it.

and with this post you solidify yourself as the lamest poster on the D&D.

    congrats.

ps - don't forget to remind us that you're "still on the fence" and that you're "not a republican."

I'm not on the fence. I've made my position clear many times.

Obviously, you just aren't bright enough to understand anything more complex than a wooden stump.
