The sight of you and the rest of the peanut gallery trying to square a leftover 25 year old artillery shell (that apparently exploded in somebodys face without injuring anybody) with the pre-war statements of the Administration leaves me giddy with anticipation.

I mean at least now you can rest on the threat that wasn't there and say that you harbored a good faith belief that Iraq was a threat. Your argument gets infinitely weaker when you cite things like this as threatening.

It was in a roadside bomb. The insurgents screwed up. You make roadside bombs with traditional artillery rounds, not chem rounds. That's the way the CIA taught the original holy warriors. The military admits in the CNN article that it was probably left over from the Iran Iraq war and that it was ineffective as an IED. But I guess a war was justified since they may have a few more rounds left over from the Iran Iraq war sitting around rusting somewhere.
