According to ESPN radio the deal is still a possibility. Both sides are expected to meet in New York later this week or weekend. Listening to Dan Patrick he thinks it will eventually ge tdone, as did Craig Biggio when Patrick asked him about it.

I think it will get done as well - it's just a matter of which side will blink first on the money.

I think it's bull$h1t that they're gonna screw over Nomar. I don't care how good the guy is, he's loyal and a fixture in Boston culture now. How are we any better than the Yankees?

If we do win the WS, it won't be quite as good. For me at least.

To me A-Rod is a sellout loser. He belongs on the Yankees. But hey, with his numbers I'm sure I'll grow to "tolerate" him next year. :)

God, I hope this goes away. They must really feel that they can't resign Nomar because trying to do this deal again while at the same time saying they want him back for the future is an obvious contradiction.

All I have to say is that John Henry and company better not give in to that idiot, Tom Hicks' demands of giving Texas $5 million a year or whatever BS amount he wanted. He needs to remember that HE, TOM HICKS, is the one over a barrel and not the Boston Red Sox.
