Will be interesting to see the press conference afterwards. Bonds hits 2 (or more?) home runs, breaks the record... and the team is officially eliminated from the playoffs. Tarnishes the moment, alot.

Chan HO park is doing a nice job giving the homers to bonds like all the other pitchers do.

Oh yeah, all 72 of homeruns that Bonds hit were "given" to him by the pitchers. In fact, all 500+ of Bonds homeruns were "given" to him. That has to be it!

Not all of them but most of the late ones hes been hitting are easily given to him. The pitches they throw to him are **** that anyone player can hit if they get it at the same position.

    Francis3,

please tell me youre joking, pitchers dont want to be in the record book for that, just ask Trachsel who gave up 62 to McGwire in 1998

If you think barry is just getting batting practice from pitchers you are mistaken, hes just in a zone where a baseball looks like a beachball to him and when they make a mistake he rips it

By the way, did you think the same of pitchers during Mcgwires final week in 1998?

I'm curious Francis3, if teams are "giving" him pitches, why did Houston walk him 8 times in their series, San Diego something like 6 times prior, and Los Angeles the same way? The guy hit 1 homerun the last week or so because nobody pitched to him. Besides, if you're a pitcher, why would you groove a pitch to Bonds so that he can take you 500 feet into the upper decks!? Ironically though, if you use this theory about Bonds, you have to apply it to Mark McGwire because he had 65 homeruns going into the final weekend of the season in '98.
