2026 Oscar Nominations

    The 2026 Oscar nominations have just been announced this morning at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater by hosts Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”) and Lewis Pullman (“Thunderbolts”).

    “Sinners” led the pack with seventeen nominations followed by “One Battle After Another” with thirteen, followed by “Marty Supreme,” “Sentimental Value” and “Frankenstein” with nine; “Hamnet” with eight; “Train Dreams” with five; and “Bugonia,” “F1” and “The Secret Agent” snagged four each.

    Welcome surprises included Delroy Lindo for “Sinners,” “F1” for a best film nomination, and big category noms for “The Secret Agent” and “Frankenstein”.

    This year’s Best Picture list includes several films that have earned over $100 million each at the box-office globally. Here is the full list of nominees for this year’s Academy Awards:

    Just watched Train Dreams on Netflix and wish I hadn't. If you want to feel sad and depressed for almost two hours though it fits the bill. Last thing I needed right now.

    I`ve only seen Sinners and One Battle After Another and they were both Awesome, since Michael B Jordan had to play 2 roles, I give him the edge for Lead Actor and then you can give best Pic to One Battle After Another :D For real, that had to be difficult and time consuming and he played both roles perfectly

    All trash...sinners is good, but not great, same with One battle after another...Sean Penn's performance was incredible tho

    I've read a lot about One Battle sucked, etc. . But, it's rated highly over at Rotten Tomatoes. So, it's conflicting. I haven't seen it yet personally.

    I really enjoyed it but its nowhere near as good as PTA's There Will Be Blood, IMO.....

    One battle after another was . . . .. a movie
    It was not funny enough to be a comedy
    and wasn't actiony enough to be an action film
    It is just meh to me.
