Just a quick poll to see where everyone’s expectations now stand on the season.

There seems to be a huge spread in what people believe or still believe as the state of the union - and prescriptively - what then to do.

Meanwhile - with any organization, I think there will always be in-house bias that all is better than perhaps what is real. I.e. they drink their own Kool-Aid. But with intelligent fans - I think there is more objectivity to be found here, collectively.

we are certainly not a contender, not even close

GS isn’t even thinking about us anymore...we likely get swept or lose in 5 if GS has that 1 game where they lack focus and turn the ball over a ton while being cold from the perimeter while we have a great game offensively

Harden’s greatness on the offensive end can do a lot to mask the highly disappointing defensive regression of this team during the regular season, so this team can still win 50 or so games

we need a star, or we need a solid backup big so we don’t have to play the likes of Hartenstein or Chriss plus 2 solid role players that make positive contributions on both ends (1 needs to be a legit 3&D wing) so we can bump MCW and Melo out of the rotation...MCW should never play, and Melo should be that guy who comes off the bench for 10-15 mpg at best with his minutes increasing to over 20 in certain games where he’s hot offensively
