Series Premiere airs tonight!!! Seen a lot of promos for this. Billy Crystal and Josh Gad are reluctantly paired together for a sketch show!

It hasn't gotten very good advanced reviews... and its on a network where critical content will matter more than ratings.

When's the last time any network canceled a show despite good ratings?

I don't know. What I was referring to is that there are really no highly rated shows on FXX... thus reviews will matter more.

They won't cancel a well-reviewed show with low ratings... but they will cancel a poorly reviewed show.

Thought it was decent not great does have some potential, reminds me of a lesser version of Showtime's Episodes.

Haven't gotten around to watching it but the format feels like Curb Enthusiasm. If it's anything like that, instant fandom from me!!!

That was a promising start. Good to see Billy Crystal getting some tv time slot. Been a fan of Crystal since my early upbringings and I love City Slickers. It's sort of shot in a documentary style where Crystal and Gad play as themselves and Crystal being this egotistical driven comedian plays off well with Broadway breakout in Gad.

I'd love for that show to come back.

FX Cancels Billy Crystal’s ‘The Comedians’ After One Season

I liked the show and watched the entire season. I thought it was hilarious. I'm surprised because it seems that FX usually gives series at least a 2nd season. They even gave Jim Jefferies' show Legit a couple of seasons (cancelling it just after a season ending cliffhanger).

I saw the last minute of every episode because my DVR would always catch it before Louie began.
