What's rep suppose to mean anyway? Does it mean you're a good poster? Cheke has a lot of rep but people regard him as the worst poster in the GARM. Likewise Lin Fans got plenty rep. To me rep is nothing, just to stroke your e-wenis.
Part-time anonymous repper here. Probably rep more than I post, so that one point of rep you get might just be from me. For the longest time, I didn't even know anonymous rep was looked down on. Thanks for the support thread.
Lin fans are face-deep in their smart phones all day and would just rep each other all day.....a rep circle-jerk. Hence why their rep always looked like bars of Kryptonite.
I equate signing my rep to peeing on things I want to claim as my own. So, if you've gotten repped by me and I signed it, you're now part of my hoard.
Don't take away my e-weenie! On a serious note, I would say it has, in general helped. I don't just look at the rep, but often the estimated rep per post.
Rep is never balanced because we can't neg rep. So even bad posters can get high rep counts if they post enough. There's no point to rep without being able to counteract it with neg rep.
I don't post a lot, but I read every day. I also rep a lot, sometimes with my nic in the hangout but mostly annon in the GARM since the phone won't let me leave a message and I'm in the GARM after every game. Certain posters there have received a lot of annon rep from me. Good thought out reads or unexpected lols get em like a lawt.
