hopefully, you are speaking for yourself, because this is categorically not true, especially since new eras quite frequently reach back to previous fashion trends to incorporate into "new" designs.

I think you are talking about if you walk into a party wearing previous decade clothes, people who rely on new fashion to tell them what to wear will look down at people wearing "out-of-fashion" clothes. That's what's silly.

It has already been said, but '70s was the worst.

70s was bad, but at least it was cohesive.

80s was a mess . Into the early 90s, just horrible!! So 80s/ early 90s by far

And that was Madonna's whole point and fashion trend. She looked messy...but still everyone wanted to dress like her.

I remember in the early 2000s when I was in high school, my Mexican friends would wear these super ironed-jeans that looked so stiff. They were probably bullet proof.

Parachute pants, Z. Cavaricci, acid wash, mullets, and rat tails.

The 80's flips you off as it does a fishtail in the dirt parking lot in its T Top Trans Am before picking up its wicked cool girlfriend, who is wearing neon leggings, a blouse with giant shoulder pads, and a pair of Ray Bans, while sporting a big hair perm and carrying a cheap knock off Gucci bag.

I want parachute pants to come back in style. WAY better than cargo pants/shorts.

Back in middle school in the 90's all the cool kids wore these. I remember begging my parents to buy me some but they scoffed at spending 60 something dollars for a ridiculous pair of jeans. I'm glad they did. Looking back, so much cringe. ...

Everyone wore these for quite a bit of time. So glad that fad is over.

Haha OMG. A Few years ago it was a battle to see who had the pointiest boots. People exaggerated to the extreme. These days the popular choice seems to be these boots which aren't bad and a bit more respectable. Combine them with a nice truck and chicks at el baile go crazy for you. Nice for pulling tail. Nope. Mid to late 2000's. I'm glad that ridiculous fad died off.

80's man, that was a terrible time for fashion. How the hell do shoulder pads look good on a woman? I keep getting visuals of Rosie O'Donnell in pants suit and shoulder pads. Every guy looked like Gallagher with zebra zubaz pants and a fanny pack.

Starched down pants. Hahaha. Forgot about that
Sleeping with a wave cap and hair decked with hair spray so it be flat sleek back as possible.

Starched jeans were very popular among African Americans and chicanos (or mexicans or hispanics, whatever) in the late 90's and a good part of the early 2000's. Some guys starched their jeans so much that when they walked it looked like they shat themselves.
