why is root sports saying its blacked out tonight

NBA rules state that [paraphrasing] if a team plays a game in a later timezone on the first half of a back-to-back, the second night's game must be pushed back if it is reasonable to do so [/paraphrasing].

This allowed the Rockets to push tipoff back to 7:30. This rule generally applies when teams face the possibility of tipping off a new game less than 24 hours than the previous game ending.
