Tesla would get eaten by a VW Golf (or a ford focus) on the autobahn (or 290). "supercar"

 

And a Smart car will turn more heads than all three.

I think the i8 will turn heads because its new and it's a sports car but when I look I'm not going to be like damn I really want that! Like a Lambo, Ferrari or R8. Obviously the lambos and Ferraris cost a lot more but if Im dropping 130k+ for the price of an i8 I'd rather get a used Murci, gallardo, F430 etc or a new R8 as I mentioned.

Not knocking anyone's taste and features they're looking for. That's just me.

 

I buy cars depending on how many heads they turn.

 

Give me a good ol made in usa corvette or CTS V instead of some fancy pants Europeancar which looks exactly like any bBMW you see in the galleria area.

I'm not a fan of the i8's design. It looks overdesigned or something.

 

I don't think you fit the target demographic of the BMW i8 market.
I believe the first batch are sold out

 

I also think they went a tad too far but overall it hits the mark of what they were trying to do with shock value. If they cleaned up the front a bit would be fantastic.

When my 335 lease is up next year I am going with an M4, that should turn enough heads

 

What can this BMW i8 do that my FIAT can't? I can still go to Trader Joes and Rothko Chapel in under 5 minutes.

 

I saw one of these on display in the Frankfurt airport a couple weeks ago.

It drew a crowd.

 

It looks pretty cool but I'd probably rather purchase a Tesla.
