My post was probably a gross exaggeration of what Dorsey is capable of. :-(-

People are joking about these moves and that's understandable, but these guys are giving the Rockets' what they lacked last year which is defense and some toughness. A lot of posters kept complaining that the Rockets were soft last year. Harden will still be soft but I can see Dorsey, Adrien, Ariza, and Bev irritating other teams and getting into scuffles.

You basically have Yao and TMac all over again so of course if those players were to complement those two franchise players then they should complement Harden and Howard as well. That's partly why we are seeing the same players being signed.

Classic case of you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

We stand pat this offseason and sign a few bench players and Morey gets killed for not having cap space for Bosh while fielding the same core that got us bounced in the first round.

We're in major trouble if Dorsey is anywhere close to playing during the close end game scenarios

Exactly What I thought when I saw this. Chemistry & comfort level with Paps plus rebounding & finishing from the pivot. If anything I will at least wait and see what happens in preseason before wetting my pants & throwing a tantrum.

And next season, Morey should bring Rudy Fernandez along with Llull. Europeans love playing beautiful basketball (more passing, less dribbling) and their impact should be reducing the "stickiness" of the ball. Maybe Llull even agrees to come over sooner.

    PG: Harden/Llull/Johnson
    SG: Bev/Daniels/Fernandez
    SF: Ariza/Covington/Gee
    PF: Papanikolaou/Jones/Capela
    C: Howard/D-Mo/Dorsey

That would give Rockets at least 2 facilitators on floor at all times without sacrificing defense, 3 ball, shot blocking or rebounding.

He doesn't shoot a lot of free throws because he's too busy dunking on Europeans.

It may help Jones. But it will just make DMo fall down and cry.

You're talking about the guy who's not afraid of wolves right? If anyone is afraid of hard work and honing his craft it would be Jones.

So we have no idea if this is even a guaranteed contract, dunno if there is a team opt for 2nd year, not even sure if he will be 2nd string backup for Howard at the 5. We just know its a 2 year for 2 mil deal. Everyone crapping their pants needs to chill. We signed a 3rd string insurance center who might not even make the team but could help if he truly has developed overseas. Low risk/high reward.
