I doubt there are that many rabid delusional Parsons Only Fans who would need an article to convince them....

I did word that 2nd part wrong...thanks for pointing that out. Federal taxes obviously apply in all states, but not all 50 states have their own state income taxes. Florida, and Texas, are some of the states that don't have a state income tax. They only pay Federal taxes.

I'm not one to bash Clutch cause he has a great site running and I respect him an awful lot, but I think a lot of times he writes articles just for hits and clicks lol. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It just that sometimes I don't like the backlash he gets from some irrational people since it's not fair.

Found this interesting. I can't find stats on when Durant was being guarded by Ariza, but overall Durant struggled against the Wizards last season. Their minutes are so closely aligned, that I have to think Ariza was matched up with KD a great deal of the time.

    Washington W, 96-81 (Feb. 1)
    Durant: 26 points, 8-21 FGs (0-6 3s), 10-10 FTs, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 turnovers, 37 minutes
    Ariza: 18 points, 7-15 FGs, 3-7 3s, 1-1 FTs, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 turnover, 39 minutes, plus-16

    OKC W, 106-105 (Nov. 10)
    Durant: 33 points, 12-23 FGs (1-4 3s), 8-9 FTs, 13 rebs, 6 assists, 5 turnovers, 0 plus-minus, 46 minutes
    Ariza: 15 points, 7-13 FGs, 1-2 3s, 0-5 FTs, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 turnover, 40 minutes, plus-3

No..Ariza perimeter D and 3 point shooting in the starting lineup...Parsons scoring/playmaking off the bench. If Ginobili can come off the bench for 13 years, Parsons can come off the bench now!

Any owner that keeps a 38 year old player that is owed $16mil in 2001-02 when he had last been an All-star since 97 and had was averaging less 50 games a year for 4 seasons is stupid to pass up a trade.

Cheap is not the same thing as being wise with the funds. They'll match Parsons because they have a chance to be a 60+ win team with him.

I would rather Ariza guarding Durant than Parsons or Garcia

With how we have felt over the last 24 hours or so...I bet Dallas fans (Cuban too) are feeling a lot worse right now. They moved way to quick on Parsons...and just to spite Morey? How wreck-less and stupid. Even if he feels he has to overpay for a FA (like with Parsons) he must be feeling like Ariza at 9 million (just to guarantee he signed) would be better than what he did...and he never even had the option to bid lol.

Dallas has not gotten better this offseason and it feels good...unless the hold up on Deng right now is taking Parsons money from Cuban if we match on Parsons?

We can argue about that after we match Parsons, which I fully expect that we will. Personally, I would rather Ariza off the bench.

Both are useful and versatile and I think no matter who starts, both are good enough to get 30-35 minutes a game. Neither Parsons or Harden should have to play 40+ a game like they were last year

It's funny. The contact Ariza JUST came off of is the same one we signed him to in 2009.

With this signing I hope they let Parsons walk and lock-up the Mavs cap for the next 3 years
