Marc J. Spears: Another detail of the offer sheet Rockets RFA forward Chandler Parsons is signing with the Mavs is it includes a trade kicker, sources said.

Paul George is better and Batum is similar.

I thought TEs were extinguished when teams have cap room?

Don't worry guys. No need to panic. We still have Jeremy Lin.

Simply a business decision. Can't fault Parsons. He wasn't going to sniff $15 mill/year from any other team.

But it's also unfair to judge anything re: Rockets until this all plays out. All this is is Dallas forcing their hand as time becomes a significant factor. Now let's see what the next step is.

@ChrisMannixSI: Hearing DAL is trying to get creative with Chandler Parsons offer sheet. Possibly to front or backload it, make it tougher for HOU to match

It just seems wild to me Parsons would put in all that work to recruit Dwight only to leave right after their first season together...

I guess I feel kind of betrayed... here's hoping he delays signing it to give us time to match it when we are ready.

he can get max with miami if lebron leaves, but that team isn't going to come out of the east...any other team giving him max isnt likely a strong contender in the west that can move cap space for him like the rockets...houston is his best choice outside of miami really to contend and get max, in this case, close to max

man wants to get paid I don't blame him

The timing is kinda bad though I agree. but then again maybe Cuban gave him a deadline to f with Houston.

either way 15 is too much to pay for him, I feel like Parsons is seriously overrated, especially given his inability to create and his defense. He's definitely very replacable

I either try to start a new thread or ask a question that's been answered among the hundreds of posts, but how is it that Parsons now has a higher annual salary than Harden?

Frontload? It's a max deal; it can't be any more frontloaded. The Rockets would be ecstatic if the deal was backloaded.

In a bubble, okay... but it's not like we're going to do anything with that extra $9 million over 3 years anyways. Might as well overpay.
