Things change... it is fluid man... I mean, I heard that LeBron and Anthony were both for sure signing for the minimum with Chicago but now that Jason Kidd has the Bucks job... things totally changed.... MIND BLOWN.

I find this thread extremely dull after last year's extravaganza.

We were lasered in on one FA. We have a bunch of FA targets this offseason

We just need to wait for a barber, an itinerary and a jet model number to match the hype of last year

Why? The only way that would be advantageous for us would be to free up more cap space, right? That would mean either that Lowry was asking for more money than we currently have, or we are using that deal to pursue someone else as well?

Otherwise, we would trade Lin in a salary dump trade (the one that Amick said was available) and sign Lowry outright.

Yeah, at the very least Lowry must be interested in seeing what transpires with Melo over the next day or two. Maybe he likes our offer but Morey told him he has to see what happens with Melo first, or Lowry is entertaining the idea of joining Melo here?

He also knows that he has Toronto in his back pocket and it is unlikely that they are going to move on until he's off the table. That offer is going to be there.

Here, I will tell you what we will learn tomorrow.

"Rockets officials think that the meeting went well."

"Carmelo seemed impressed with talking to Drexler, Harden and Howard."

"Rockets sold Melo on chance to win a Championship."

That is what we will learn tomorrow...

By the way, relevant tidbit from Stein's piece:

Maybe we were appealing last night?

Here's what I would say to Lowry:

    1) We're offering a 4 year $55 million deal.
    2) You will play for championships with us (wink wink......you won't get that in Toronto)
    3) You can reunite with McHale, and learn more from one of the best of all time.

We just need to sign Lowry before it's too late.

I like Melo but Lowry and retaining Parsons is perfect for us right now.

I'm getting more anxious by the minute that Lowry could get swooped up although it does kind of seem like Lowry is waiting on things to pan out with this Melo drama.

He could sign a 3 year deal with player option with us.. and then get a bigger contract at age 31/32 for about 4 more years

The difference in Lin/Parsons and Lowry/Melo is a nba championship for sure. We would not only be better but we would be tougher too.
