I love the aggressiveness Mexico is showing. Sooner or later they'll connect.

actually most of Mexico isn't hot and humid -- or at least where the people live (Mexico City, Guadalajara swath)

Ah - the Mexican coach was saying the players would be used to it. Maybe some of the teams in the first division play in hot and humid areas?

We just lost de Jong. What's going on? :-(

Some might be negative because of that 5-3-2 system
and some might because it is not always the case that the head coach was appointed by ManUnited before the World Cup.

Some might question where his priorities lie

Yes. I agree. But van persie and robben are brilliant. Every time they touch the ball they do something good.

Our first halfs are bad every game. Just wait for the second half.

Is Holland the heavy favorite coming into this game?

Houston's far hotter than Fortaleza and I never remember any kind of "cooling break"

Light favourites according to British bookies. But most pundits have said it's 50/50, or at least chances for both teams. As I expected Mexico playing the better football so far - we'll see what van Gaal can do for the second half. Quite upset de Jong is out - he's one of our best players.

Kuyt could be carded if he keeps leaving the field. He seems to be constantly running on the wrong side of the line and coming in when passed to him. I doubt they'll call it...but they could.

That was a clear penalty. But the ref has been bad this game. (Not favoring any team. Just bad)

Agreed - too much contact to not call penalty. Mexico has had better chances but got lucky there.

PENALTY! So annoying... much clearer than the one at the other end. Mexico will be happy with this half. Holland one player down, Mexico do well in the second half, and they're also playing better football. van Gaal - it's time to do your tactical magic.
