Are we gonna act like Jordan didn't have a Top 20 player and the GOAT coach by his side for 6 rings?

People always say this about Phil and never about Popovic. Pop has had the greatest PF to ever play the game his entire time.

Honestly if you want to make that argument against Phil then Larry Brown should be the GOAT. He got it done with not much and won on both levels of ball.

I think you'd have an argument for Larry Brown, certainly. Even in college- wasn't Kansas like an underdog? I know the Pistons were against the Lakers that year. Yep, Larry Brown, in my book, is the best coach of all time.

Jordan turned Pippen into a great player by pushing him in practice from the time he was a rookie. It's not like Pippen was a top 5 player that already had a ring like Wade did.

As far as help is concerned

Scottie Pippen contribution to the Bulls is underrated at times.

Very rare teams that win it all only consists of average to below superstar level players. One i can think of is the pistons 2004. Btw whats your point?

Yeah. Jordan made them a top 20 player and a top 5 coach. Popovich is a much better coach than Phil. Could you imagine Pop's system and in game adjustments with Jordan and Pippen or Kobe and Shaq?

Pippen wasn't Pippen immediatly. You can easily argue that Pippen would never have become as good as he was without having Jordan to go against, without Jordan to give him extra drive.

Phil Jackson wasn't Phil Jackson until after they started winning rings.

The Bulls started winning rings when Jordan changed his body and started trusting his team to play a role.

If Pippen were a star and then joined Jordan and Jackson was winning rings as a coach before taking over the Bulls you would have a point...but that isn't the case.

We're not, but the numbers really do speak for themselves, regardless of what angle you take. He was spectacular night in and night out.

Multiple troll threads. The first one was pretty funny but yeah. Stop it. CFs need to check their sarcasm detectors too.

Sure Pippen was a top 20 player in the league during the championship years, but saying Phil Jackson is the greatest ever coach? Now that's funny.
