If Perry still has the singing chops, I might agree with you. And I've been wanting to hear him again for a long time. ..But after seeing the video from the OP, I'm kinda saddened and I now think that He wouldn't sing the old Journey songs nearly as well as Arnel does.

I'm disappointed he didn't sing 'Oh Sherrie'.

Glad to see Steve back singing. I havent heard anything about him rejoining Journey, though I wish he would. Id go see them in a minute. The new singer Arnel does a good job but a good copy is still a copy and I prefer the original.

If I had to choose just one, I'd go with Journey. 3 out of 5 original members. (original meaning they were members during their heyday) That's more than you get with most other bands from the 70's/80's that still tour. Hell, look at Foreigner...I think they only have 1 original member. Kind of silly to still tour as Foreigner. And what about "Guns and Roses"...LOL...

Typical drummer... dismissive of the importance of a good frontman/vocalist...

To this day Phil Collins believes he was a quality singer...

I watched part of a Foreigner concert on one of those concert channels the other week. I had no idea only one original member was left. It's the lead guitarist as he is the eldest looking. ;) I like their frontman singer who has been with the band since 2005. I thought he sang the hits quite well. I was thinking he was the original singer at first. This is a band where I knew their hits but not who was in the band. lol

Second best performance at Live Aid, only bested out by Queen.

Wow, almost channeling John Lennon with the amount of echo/reverb... really intensifies those inward and stifled voice cracking screams... Incredible that only Queen could challenge that performance...
