I got same issue. Try Levis 559 (maybe it's 569) or 550. Not sure about the others

OP, try "Relaxed Fit" jeans in a straight cut from brands like Lee, Wrangler, the GAP, and Levi's. If you can lose the weight, look at APC, RRL, and Naked & Famous. Finally, if you want top-quality and are prepared to pay the price, 45 Rpm or Samurai denim.

Pay attention to the rise if you have a beer gut. Sounds like your thighs are somewhat large so avoid tapered cuts.

I worked for almost 20 years at the Gap. Additionally, I have short legs and larger than normal thighs. I understand completely what you're asking for here.

I always wore either Standard or Relaxed fit jeans from the Gap. Never felt like they were snug. Price is much better than some brands like Lucky. One downfall is that I wore them through too quickly but that was more because I was constantly on my feet than any fault of the jeans.

Also they are often on sale for as low as $15-$20 on Amazon, depending on the size/color

I picked up a pair of Samurai denim when I was in Osaka a few years back. Best denim ever.

A seersucker suit looks very stylish. I know a few lawyers who wear them in the Carolinas with white suede bucs or spectators. A great option if you have to wear a suit and tie to work, but live in a hot and humid area like Savannah or Houston where even tropical wool is sweltering.

I like your taste. I plan to pick up a pair the next time I'm in Japan.
