ClutchFans Game Thread: Blazers @ Rockets 4/20/2014 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 1)

If we're going to win in the playoffs, we need to play better defense as a team. No more allowing the opponent to score 110+ points a game.

Teams have scouted us. They know Harden is the weak link defensively. I wouldn't be surprised if Blazers feed to ball to Matthews on every possession to run a pick n' roll, or force a switch for Lillard to go 1 on 1 vs. Harden.

McHale needs to be aware of the other team's strategies and make adjustments in real-time .... something McHale has been piss poor at all season long.

 

Dwight Howard is about to destroy Portland.

 

Didn't the Raptors steal Kyle Lowry and Patrick Patterson (Indirectly) from Houston ? Phoenix stole Dragic and Marcus Morris. Indiana stole Luis Scola. Denver stole Brooks.

 

stay humble. stay hungry.

 

One game at a time. One possession at a time. Forget San Antonio, forget Oklahoma City. This...this is what matters. Portland is a dangerous team that's out to prove they're not a 5th seed caliber team.

So the question is how do you defend against that? You go out there and show you're not a 4th seed caliber team, and fight harder.

as much as I hate to say this but Portland will win the series in 6

I see Harden taking it to another level and Beverley harassing Lillard and making him cry. Everyone else just have to show up.

 

I'm sick as a dog but I'll be at the game regardless. So if you're there and see a guy pass out in section 428, just buy me a bottled water and I'll be ok.
