The Knicks / Rox Finals in 1994 brought me to the Rockets. Not necessarily the most talented roster but they were scrappy and played with such a blue collar demeanor.

Yesterday. That Beverly shot inspired me about the clutch ways of the team known as houston rockets.

Twenty years on the dot. Started watching basketball the season of the first championship when I was 6 and was a little kid in Montana that picked the Rockets cause I liked their name, and voila, they win me back to back championships. I'm 26 now, so it makes the math pretty easy.

Became a serious fan after we got Ralph, and then Dream! I can't say how long I've been a fan in years, 'cause it's too depressing. ;)[/QUOTE]

    LOL...me too.

I'm Tmac only fans when i began to watch the rockets until tmac became a diva and yao and the gang fought lakers in 2009. Since that day i become an avid rockets fan though our best player was martin. I just love supporting underdog team .

Ironic the poll in this 12 year old thread.

Fan since we first acquired Kenny Smith is my earliest memory. I don't remember watching Sampson but I do remember Sleepy Floyd and Maxwell.

Pfft... some 99'ers been watchin' since the 60's and 70's.

I don't know if I posted in this ancient thread, but I believe my first year following the Rockets was around '78/'79 as an 8-9 year old with a transistor radio in bed when I should've been asleep.

Only started really watching basketball in the 09-10 season, i did catch the playoffs series against the Lakers in 08-09 though. So thats basically when i became a real fan, but i did always like basketball and went to a couple games here and there since 05... and that was when i was about 7.
