I believe he had a real injury. I think it was an injury he could have played on by early to mid January.
^This. IMHO it was a Dwight-on-the-Lakers type of injury where he could've come back earlier if he was our only C and we needed him desperately, but I don't think he was faking it.
He had a minor injury but I won't ever believe for a second he couldn't play on it. Rockets just told him to stay home.
I let this one go but next time he should be suspended for pouting and sanctioned for faking another injury.
Dwight came back too early do to pressure from teammates and his play suffered because of it leading to fans hating him.
I think he had an injury and since his name was brought up so much, possible trade, they elected to play it safe and have him take his time healing. He might have been able to come back a little earlier but why risk it? I'm glad we kept The Titan.
Sounds like you weren't following his rehab closely. Real injury...comeback was reported prior to trade deadline and he wasn't in the best shape, so he needed time to "look good"
I don't care anymore. I'm glad he's still here and seems to be buying into his role. Asik is HUGE for us.
A motivated Asik gives us a defensive presence all the time. When they go up, Asik or Dwight is ALWAYS there.
No, I didn't believe he was injured. Maybe initially he did have a thigh contusion, but no way was he hurt enough to miss 2 months. That being said, if he can make a contribution to this team going forward, fine. We all know he's gone after next season, so we may as well get what we can out of him in the meantime.
