Where did this T-Shirt design come from?

    I just saw a couple of shirts that had something like this:

    Hakeem&
    Vernon&
    Kenny&
    Otis&
    Clyde&
    Sam

    and I was looking up Iron Maiden and Beatles shirts it had the same format with the first name and an & at the end. I also saw a 76ers championship team shirt with this style.

    So where did the whole "name&name&name&name" thing come from?
