    By "trouble", do you mean, what are the dangers to my person? Or "how much a$$ can I expect to get? Are regular condoms thick enough?"

    If by "this summer" you mean "North American summer" (June-Sep), when it will be technically winter there....

    Sounds like you're going to be there for the World Cup?

    Because if you're not there for the Copa, I hope you're going well after it's over.

    If you're indeed going for the World Cup, it will be a complete and total madhouse / zoo. And I don't mean that in a "I'm 20 years old in Cancun on Spring Break" type way.

    It.

    Will.

    Be.

    A zoo.

    My wife is Brazilian and she'd quadruple anything I could say here, so it's not just me being an anal American.

    Brazil is bureaucratic at best when they don't have the Big Show in town. Give yourself a ton of time for airport snafus and whatnot.

    All the tourist spots will be jam-packed (Ipanema, Copacabana, Christ Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Mountain).

    Watch your a$$. EVERYONE will be looking to rip you off, from taxi drivers to pickpockets. You'll be wearing a sign:

    TOURIST: TARGET.​

    Never go anywhere after dark on foot. Always take a taxi. Especially downtown.

    Don't say "oh, we'll walk, we'll go in a big group, we'll be safe". Maybe, maybe not. Thieves in Rio are well-armed and bold and often have the numbers.

    Even though it's technically "winter" there? It'll still be pretty hot. Don't get dehydrated.

    I love Rio, it's stunning, I never had any problems there, but my wife and I were careful not to tempt fate.

    Just do your research before you go.

    Did not like Vegas, im more a fan of nature's beauty and the ocean then all the lights, bad weather and bad vibes vegas gives me.

    I'd love to try some small city in Thailand though. Friends have told me you can do whatever the **** you want there. Their stories are pretty crazy.

    In a place not snowboarding (didn't go to the indoor snowboard place)....Dubai.
