    Funny I never knew Canaan went back to RGV...

    Can someone clarify if a player can be traded while in RGV or he has tobe in the Rockets?

    I don't think anything fishy is going on. Makes sense that they'd want him to rehab using the resources of the Rockets.

    My guess is that he has to be with the team. The Celtics had to officially send Rondo to their D-league affiliate in order for him to work out with them. Dude was a Maine Red Claw for all of a few hours!

    As stupid as it sounds, they even had to do a press release when he was sent down AND when he was brought back...

    Yes... I'm sure it is better to rehab with Rockets team doctors.. But him rehabilitating here is taking up a much needed roster spot. Which is very suspicious.

    They probably want to add somebody to RGV with the extra roster spot. If Canaan was still assigned, I am sure he takes up roster space for both HOU and RGV. If he isn't assigned, then he only counts against HOU's roster.
