Who in Rockets history (anybody retired) would you bring into this lineup? You can't pick Hakeem, because that's just too easy. Take into account the type of player this team needs. A PF? A great bench player? A Defensive specialist? A Playmaker? Post your thougths!

I'm too young to remember Moses. So for me it's either Yao or Tracy.

If injuries are to be taken into consideration, then neither.

Yao, while sliding Howard to PF.

    Cassell
We have issues at point. He was always healthy and always knew how to play with a big.
    Garnett, brand, and dream.

He knew how to play with a prolific shooter too. Ray Allen.

    Based on need , cassell.

Never even saw Moses Malone play, but if he is on this list nobody else is close.

Clyde, Tracy and Yao are obviously the best players on the list, but redundant. The championships trio of Otis, Horry and Cassell are very tempting.

Tracy would give us an elite perimeter defender when we needed one and he could guard Dirk.:p

I'd say Moses first. Fills the PF need.

If we're talking about these players in their primes, not how they were as Rockets, then I'd take Scottie Pippen second (I know I'm gonna get roasted for this, I hate him too, but hear me out). He'd provide excellent perimeter defense that we DESPERATELY need, scoring, and might be able to play some minutes at stretch 4. Just a thought!

I voted other- for the Big E- Elvin Hayes! All the people trying to tag me as an LOF- see if you even know who he is. He is my first favorite Rocket and would give us that true Twin Towers that we tried to get with Asik. We would own the paint, grab almost every board and we could live with the defense that Lin and Harden give us b/c the swat zone would be in full effect with Hayes and Howard in the paint.

CB34 in his prime would be a beast playing next to Howard. Championship.

I know it seems crazy with guys like Moses Malone, Tracy McGrady and Clyde Drexler on the list, but I had to go Big Shot Bob. His defense and shooting from the power forward position is exactly what this team needs. I can't think of a better fit for this team than a prime Robert Horry.

Prime Clyde Drexler would solve our perimeter D needs, and provide elite offensive firepower/playmaking when Harden goes to the bench.

Imagine Harden and Drexler on the wings, while sliding Chandler to the stretch four ala Horry. Drexler and Dwight would also provide a formidable 1-2 punch (especially pick-n-roll) when Harden goes to the bench.

    PG Bev/Lin/AB
    SG Harden/Drexler/Garcia
    SF Drexler/Parsons/Garcia
    PF Parsons/TJones/Casspi
    C Dwight/Asik/Smith

Spot start TJones/Smith at PF against bigger front courts (Pacers, Spurs, Griz, etc). Otherwise, run and gun with Parsons and Dwight up front, Drexler and Harden on the wings. Work in Bev/Lin at PG the way Rudy did with Kenny and Sam... the hot hand closes out games.
Asik fills the Charles Jones role, FTW!
