What is more important to you -- that morning cup of joe to get you kick-started or unwinding with a cold one after a hard day of work?

Personally, I would find it much easier to give up alcohol than coffee, but I wonder what others think.

I'd definitely give up coffee/caffeine. I generally hate the taste of coffee and enjoy the taste of certain alcohols. If I drink caffeine in he morning, it's either espresso or an energy shot, but I usually prefer some kind of green machine type beverage in the am

    Eh? Dr. Seuss?

At my age its not even a decision anymore, just life.

One cup of joe a day
Keeps the afternoon nap at bay.

Hate to give up either, but I'd have to keep the one that helps me face a class full of people at 9 a.m. (or 7:30 a.m.) and be cheerful. Caffeine is just a little too necessary for those of us who have trouble getting out of sleep mode.

In moderation, most studies show mild health benefits to each of those, so it's hard to choose.

I guess since I am naturally a morning person, I could give up caffeine. I think I ultimately love wine, beer, and the occasional rye more than I like any sort of coffee.

I'm disturbed by people who need caffeine to be productive citizens.
