It's getting critical praise and critics are saying it's the frontrunner for best animated picture though Toy Story 3 comes out this summer as well. With the whole Dreamworks vs. Pixar thing. Anyways, might check it out this Friday. 100% on RT right now http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1194522-how_to_train_your_dragon/
Haha. You thought this would be taken seriously. Oh yeah, almost forgot, "Dragon-penis double entendre!"

9/10 - The accent threw me off, but then again I'm not a native speaker and have a hard time trying to understand Viking lingo on top of that. The visuals were awesome, and the color of all the dragon stuff and the fire-breathing stuff is great. I thought it was a different kind of movie... but it wasn't. The action sequences, especially of the final fight, are suitable and especially great in 3D. I had a hard time placing who the voices were. It's probably the first time I can't guess people's voices in animated movies. See it in 3D. It's worth the pretty penny. Saw it with the family. It's 100% kid-friendly. Spoilers: Spoiler Would like to see the bad dragon actually dead at the end of the movie. Looks like a setup for a second movie. Sort of a'la "where did he go?" style of ending. It's touching and a feel-good story.
Yeah IMAX 3D is a must. Anyways, AMC and Regal theaters increased the prices over the weekend for 3D movies. I had to pay $18 dollars for a ticket! I mean the movie was incredible but money doesnt grow from trees....
^ WHOA... $18 is too much. We paid $42 at Cinemark for our family of 4 ($10.50 avg. per ticket??) Still not too expensive, but prices are not what we're used to paying). Mrs. SwoLy had just told me how there was a study that found that most people would pay whatever amount just to see something in 3D, so they jacked up the prices.
