I think it is a good thing we didn't get to save our mle like the warriors did. We probably would have used it on a guy like Speights who would just take away minutes from jones and dmo. I dont think the rockets will win it this year so developing them is a good idea.

@ESPNSteinLine: One source close to process contends Warriors' forthcoming deal w/Speights, does NOT impact their pursuit of free-agent C Jermaine O'Neal

Like this pick-up for GS. They keep stacking up an already impressive lineup. They definitely concern me.

    Curry /
    Thompson /
    Iguodala / Barnes
    Lee / Speights
    Bogut / Ezeli (?)

So they add Iggy and Speights, lose Landry and Jack. This was a 6th seed last year, I don't see significant upgrades for them - probably a 6th seed again, with a chance to make noise in the playoffs because Curry's shot is so wet.

    lol ?

    You really believe Iggy+Speights >>>> Jack+Landry

They're having, like us, a great offseason.
    I'm worried about them

Mentioned this in the other Warriors thread, but they might bring back Little Nathan as well. That would cap off a great offseason.

The most important part is, Iggy is a known Harden stopper. Bad news for us if we meet in the playoffs

Upgrading the defense I see. Looking forward to the match-up in the upcoming season.

I agree with you that I just don't see the vast improvement. Landry was as efficient as ever for them, and Jack was a spark plug of the bench and I think they should have kept him at all costs. Ezeli will be out most of the year. I don't see that their depth has really improved, but their overall talent level has improved somewhat. I still don't see them jumping to the top of the WC because they still have a short bench. Maybe move up to the 4 seed, maybe if they stay injury free, which is not likely given this roster, but I do like this young team. Just not as much as I like the Rockets :)
