With the most recent SNT to get Lopez, i think this puts us out for LMA and a possible home for Asik if needed to be traded. But with all the worldwind of stuff Portland is looking like they will be a pretty good team to get into the 8th seed for the upcoming season.

    PG: Lillard,
    SG: MAtthews/Sasha
    SF: Batum/
    PF: LMA/Robinson
    C: Lopez/Lenard/

They need a few more pieces for depth but they look like they re-tooled fast.

They still need a good back up 2 and a 3 but they on the right track.

But the good thing is it opens up room from NOLA to take Asik in a trade for somebody like Anderson or even help with a 3 team trade that would prob send Gordon out.

They also have CJ McCollum who should be a solid backup right away, there's some OJ Mayo in him (not as strong physically but there aren't character question marks).

Seems like Portland is always 're-tooling'.

I think if CJ plays ok, their 1-2-3 rotation is solid. CJ could be the main backup at 1 and 2, Matthews can defend most 3s. It could work. They could use a defensive backup wing.

true, but they have always been competitive. They havent had to do a complete rebuild but they seems to be where we were the last 2 years.

I think they need some solid back ups and they would be pretty good next year. There are a few still out on the market:

Tyrus Thomas may be amenstied, he could be a nice big back up at the Vet min.
I think AK47 is still available - Delfino and Garcia would be great on their team too.

AK47 is way out of their price range. He's also too good to be a backup. And he's the best SF in the market besides Iguodala. He's likely going to get paid well and start for some playoff team next year.

    well that leaves you with
Ronnie Brewer, Barnes, Corey Brewer, Omri Casspi - these should all be in their price range.

The West is going to be very very tough this upcoming season. Minny, Portland, Utah (Their young bigs are going to be good), Sacramento (With a real point guard) are all going to be fighting for playoff spots this season

I think Sactown is hard to gauge but i think the new ownership will be shaping up the franchise better - Play off maybe after this season.

They have absolutely no bench still so no they will not make the playoffs or come close.

    Lopez...Robin Lopez?

That guy is a good depth player/backup center...if that is their plan for center moving forward...

That's what I'm saying... Hickson is better than Lopez.

Definitely going to be a very competitive Western Conference. Minnesota and Sacramento wising up and getting new management was smart. Lakers could slip hard if they lose Dwight.

Hopefully, we won't have to scrap with those guys for a playoff spot. I've personally had enough of that to last me a lifetime...

I think only the Lakers will fall out of the playoff hunt.

Dallas, Minnesota, and Nawleans will be scrapping for that final spot. Portland has some stiff competition.

Did i miss something, what has Sacramento done this free agency that is notable. They got rid of Evans, but besides that.
