So many world renowned restaurants have the weirdest looking food. I'm sure it tastes amazing, but the pics turn me off.
It's nowhere near the best restaurant on Navigation. It's not even the best restaurant on Navigation west of York. Ninfa's blows, basically.

Lol I know that. I wasn't referring to the new El Tiempo on Navigation in particular. I was just stating El Tiempo is better than Ninfa's in general. I go to the one on Richmond or Montrose since I live basically in between them. Edit: Typo on better
I like the El Alteño on Bissonnet pretty well. I like Taqueria Monterrey on Garland just south of Griggs. I like that place a lot, actually. I LOVE the pork tacos at Laredo. The chicken with calabaza are great, too. I usually go to the one on Cavalcade rather than the one on Washington because at the one on Washington there's always some white idiot holding up the line by peering confusedly at the menu overhead which of course has nothing to do with anything. I really need to branch out, though. Last time I was in town I tried a bunch of new (to me) places and didn't really like any of them. I'll try again and let you know if I hit on anything worthwhile.
