    According to the National Transportation Safety Board, there were 1474 [plane] accidents in 2009, 272 or which were fatal.

    OMG ***** d@mn OMG.... I live here and had no idea of this until I checked the HANGOUT here. Thank you guys for the news. I live about 5 minutes away from where this crashed. Heard nothing about it til now. I live in a bubble :(
