No reason to assume everyone liked Friends. Redundant story arcs and generationally skewed setting and premise. Still a good case study for graduate communications program on how exactly to develop, produce and manage a show. The network, the actors and even the breakout star did everything correctly (not greatly) for ten years. (On very few top shows, the Big Bang Theory for contrast; do all cast members lobby for equal pay.) Conversely, Seinfeld was less a well-maintained network production than a magnus opus for two near perfect comedic writers.

 

I didn't have a TV in college and the sets at the student union didn't have cable; so I regularly watched that waiting for MAD TV and SNL to come on. Perhaps Norris's basic decency and earnestness had something to do with it, but that was a horribly written show.

 

big simpsons fan as well. Home improvement still gives me a chuckle every now and then.

But the recent seasons of simpsons are horrible, don't find it funny at all

Seinfeld, MWC, Friends.

Simpsons started in 89 and is still ongoing, so while you can put it up there with other 90s shows, it's more in a class of its own. Same with south park.

Turns out Power Rangers and TMNT wasn't as awesome as it was when I was a kid.

Surprising isn't it?

Though TMNT is still awesome, I just didn't remember so little fighting, but there is almost none. Rocksteady, Bebop, and Shredder were total wusses.
