Its good that there isnt any big deal made about women MMA. I bet lots of people would rather watch women MMA before lots of OTHER women's sports. It can help bring credibility ALL around. Still shows its an uphill climb with women getting the "proper" following for their sports. When you know NOTHING about the sport to start with, your rooting interest NATURALLY is gonna go toward most aesthetic LOOKS and appearance, or something on a superficial end. Like Laila Ali or Danica Patrick, or all of women's volleyball. That said, Rousey - would hit, not wife. I like "ring girl" looks, not "IN-ring girl" looks. And there's cuter though lesser talented fighters out there, if its all about that.
I want to see the "armbar"... or the way it started. Where is it? Probably there's a GIF out there. Those dudes look tough. Also, check this one out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWwPs-V2frg
Every time I read "Carmouche" my brain immediately says "can you do the Fandango?" Thunderbolts of lightning...
Miesha Tate comes like a bitter b****. You don't get to talk crap after you get your ass beat. I hate the "one trick pony" argument. Who cares if all shes does is arm bar? It worked a 100% of the time so far and most of them under a minute. It's like criticizing Shaq for not being able to hit jump shots.
WHAT THE HECK, man??!?! I thought Carmouche could have used her legs and torso for an escape... but... I guess she was way weaker than Rousey. Good move.
If someone has you in a good armbar that isn't happening. And it wasn't strength...technique it matters a ton. Ronda's legs are applying a ton of pressure to Liz's head and chest. There is no way she could have generated enough leverage to power out of it just using her legs and torso.
Ahhhh... OK, I see the lock on Carmouche's right wrist with Ronda's left arm and other hand. Check out Carmouche's ABS! FLEX-A-MUNDO City!!!! You had it right, I don't know enough about MMA. Good eye.
