Near Rampart and Bisonnet, there is a Foreign Car repair shop behind the Spanish-speakin' record shop on Bisonnet. That there dude fixed my toyota FAST way back in '99 with some electrical problem, but that was then... I don't know if he's still there. I forget his name, but it was an older gentlemen who seemed to be Indian. Try the strip mall that has the "checks cashed" store, to the back, and you'll find it... it's "Foreign Auto Repair" something something... they do honest work. EDIT - way to the back right here: http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=UTF-...BXfEy0e0SyLcPFjOUwbEew&cbp=12,191.35,,0,-7.51
autotech pro on hillcroft between westpark and richmond. It's where i have been taking my bmw for the last 5 years. Without them I probably would have sold my bmw by now because momentum would have raped me. Ask for Nathan or Tom and tell them Mike Tran sent you.
Good friend is the parts manager at Bemer ...pretty sure they could use the business. Definitely feeling the recession. They're on 9201 Richmond.
Auto Tech Pro is where to go. Nathan or Tom will help you out with whatever you need. Very honest and wont murder your wallet.
On Memorial just west of Dairy Ashford there's a place my brother goes too. Can't remember the name though.
If you are near downtown, try Autohouse of Switzerland. You should only use the dealer for items covered by the warranty.
I went there yesterday and i was told i have to make an appt. i called to make an appt and was told that the latest available was 3 days.
Apologies for bumping an old thread but how did Auto Tech Pro work out for you? My wife's BMW's steering is really hard to move. I'm not sure if its a power steering fluid leak or something else. I don't wanna go to the dealership and pay an arm and a leg. How was Auto Tech Pro's prices and workmanship? Anyone else have additional recommendations?
After 10 years of having my bmw i still take my car to auto tech pro. Sounds like your power steering pump may be faulty. They will take care of it in a timely manner. Prices are very reasonable. Nathan used to work for mercedes greenway and momentum so he kniws his way around german cars. Ask for tom or nathan and let them know mike tran sent with the 330 from hell sent ya.
Is the needle just going up or are you actually getting smoking from the car? Hopefully it's just a thermostat and nothing major. I've gotta take my car in for some coolant leak. HOpefully it's just the water pump and not some hard to replace gasket or the radiator.
Try M-Power Houston (Fondren and Westpark Dr). The e90 Houston enthusiast group and I all swear by this shop. They can do any repairs/maintenance/performance modifications/etc. and will also work with 3rd party extended warranties if you have one.
