Let's face it, if Rice doesn't hit all those threes, we probably lose this game...too much reliance on the outside shot.

I agree with you for the most part, but there are many bright spots, too (other than the obvious: 20 point road victory over a decent team). Griffin hasn't been playing spectacularly, but better, and slightly more consistently. We rebounded like... rabbid dogs? Taylor has been heating up and looks like he could be a new offensive threat for us. We played some D. AND we got the win in a big way despite all those nasty things you mentioned. That's a feat in itself, isn't it? And BTW, had Rice not made quite so many of those shots, we still might even have won, it'd just be a lot closer cuz we blew them out.

But yeah, still definitely no reason to get our hopes yet. I said earlier, though, that it the Rockets won 2 of these 3 last road games (Utah, LA, Phoenix), I'd gaurantee a Rocket playoff berth. I'm sticking to that gaurantee.

I also agree with you, RocksMillenium, just don't get your hopes too high. I just hope Steve gets his touch back real soon...

Houston had no business winning that game last night and they did, and that's the bottomline. Good teams find ways to win games like this. If anybody had told you before this game that Francis would only have 5 points, Yao 12 points, and Mobley 15 points everybody would have counted this as a double digit loss or even a blow. Instead the Rockets blew out a well rested Suns team on their homecourt. As badly as the Rockets have played you have to give them their due.
