No, you couldn't. Or you could but it wouldn't make any point at all if you did.

The reason is that nobody claims we need fast food, alcohol, sports or bathtubs in order to make sure we don't fall under a tyrant's rule.

I'd agree except for the fact that we're no longer living in times where cannonball fire is the most dangerous weapon that can be hurled your way.

The technology exist for a few to hold down millions, let alone the logistics behind that technology. This world is in the hands of the people who hold it and it won't change without peaceful revolution/change.

Taking away guns though would at least leave the average every day person vulnerable to the aggression of the aggressive and sick people who commit felonies and massacres. That's why gun control shouldn't be too drastic.

I might disagree with that, but even if I agreed, it wouldn't matter in this case, because nobody is suggesting taking guns away. They are talking about regulating the types of guns, which wouldn't leave people vulnerable to violent aggression, felonies, and massacres... at least not any more vulnerable than they are now.

hmmm...so if Alex Jones and Piers Morgan had a gay love child, would:

Alex Jones + Piers Morgan = Alex Morgan?

Where's that "If they mated" generator from the old Late Night with Conan O'Brien when you need it?

Has this been posted yet? This time Piers Morgan is the one who flips out. Larry Pratt does very well. When Pratt puts forth arguments that Piers can't counter, Piers pauses for a few seconds before saying "You're an incredibly stupid man, aren't you?" and "You just don't care. You don't care that 20 kids got killed."

Also at one point Piers keeps sternly telling Larry to "Stop laughing" even though Larry isn't laughing. He says it 5 times in a row. There was no reason to do that. Piers is just a d*** and a moron.

Just because Larry Pratt maintained his composure doesn't take away the fact that he's a cold cynical douche with gun-lobby money in his pockets.

Sad that the only person really screaming for gun control in this country is foreign.

Who does it benefit, when Americans are finally unarmed and powerless? The British are coming! The British are coming!

Like I've said now days, the threat is not external and there's not much the Average Joe can do physically (i.e. even with arms) internally but the threat is the people who are aggressive and have access to the guns in the first place.
