Canada has a **** ton of oil sands. They'll be okay.

Herb-friendly. Toronto and Montreal are nice places and I've heard great things about Vancouver.

How come on all those House Hunter type shows, most of the Canadiens in the Toronto area have a $800K budget? Then they show the poor bastards with a $150K budget on the other side of Lake Erie. Is everyone doing that well up there?

I haven't been to Canada, but it sounds like a great country to me. Though I admit that in my internet research, which of course makes me an expert, the "middle" doesn't sound support intriguing to me.

60 year mortagages are pretty standard in Canada.

Living in DT Toronto beats living in a lot of places in the US.

    Good things about Canada:

    Canadian Bacon
    Samuel Dalembert
    Larry Walker
    Niagara Falls

    That's about all I got.

Interesting because I just came from Edmonton Alberta, my third trip up there, about 2 hour drive from Calgary. And I like the place a lot...

Yes, it's cold, but the economy is booming and has been for the past 10-20 years...plenty of jobs...Canada is more European like and honestly more family oriented than the US. If I get the chance I will def move up there..trying to work on it as there is a girl I have been talking to on and off for a while, plus my cousins live there.

There's too much wrong with your statement. I'm just going to leave it alone so you can wallow in your pathetic state of misinformed hubris

Let's not forget that the inventor of basketball, Dr. James Naismith, was Canadian.

If it wasn't so cold and I didn't grow up here I think I would prefer Canada. The girls in Toronto are much hotter. It is just a nicer city in general.

People think Houston is terrible because it's hot and humid. Put on a jacket, they're made to keep you warm.

...you're allowed to drink at 18 or 19...how is that a bad thing?

I'll admit Montreal is ****ing weird, but the Canadians I've met (Ontario and Quebec) are very friendly.

Really want to get to BC one day.

Was in Canada for two weeks a couple months ago (South Edmonton). Loved the place.

    Pros:
-weather was great in late-September with highs of 60s-70s, a bit chilly in the morning
    -friendly people, it's true
-low Alberta provincial sales tax (5%)
    -accent
    -racial diversity
    -Pita Extreme
    -higher income
-good economy (hiring signs everywhere from Subway to Baker Hughes)
-last but not least, the women

    Cons:
    -crazy income tax
    -everything is way more expensive
    -metric system :p

Toronto has the best strip clubs. I wouldn't say they rivalled Houston in the 90's but pretty close.

I was up there during the great blackout a few years ago.. citizen's were in the street directing traffic and the bars moved everything outside. It was a hoot, had a great time. Real nice folks up there.

li'l t is still so shell shocked by Obama's HISTORIC reelection that he's avoiding the D&D and reduced to trolling Canadians in the Hangout.

Actually, I have examined Canada's immigration requirements and I truly wish that ours were that stringent. Canada actually values education and English proficiency in immigrants. It seems as though we will accept any low-skilled fruit picker, so long as they already have a relative over here.
