Thats the thing, he has never been a choker until now. Lin's confidence is shot. I just hope it isn't gone forever.
Lin is playing ok overall. We were just lucky to get both Dragon and Lowry on our roster last year. And they wanted higher paycheck.
He got as much as he could, there was a reason the knicks wouldn't match. The team and Morey wanted a big name, in the midst of everything enthusiasm for the rox was at an all time low, it was pretty much a must for him since they put themselves in that position.
Erm, you guys do realize that Lin is a 32% shooter from 3 point range? He shot 2/6 (33%). He's also a different shooter from spot up than off the dribble. 2011/12 Spot up shooting - 33% Off the Dribble - 49.1% (3rd best among PG's) AND we know that his shot has been off this year but improving. So, you give Lin his weakest shot, make him shoot it in the lowest percentage way, and you crucify him after he played solidly the entire game? 3/8, 9 points, 6 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks, 2 TO's Yup, that makes LOADS of sense. Lin's at his best when the ball is in his hands to start, not when you drop it in his hands at the last second. He's 23. Crap happens.
And Michael Jordan made all his last minute shots? So if you miss one game winning shot, you're labelled a choker?

Its insane how quickly this board condemns players. It doesnt come in minutes, games, or sometimes even seasons. Patience, we need to give Lin some real time here before making a judgment call on him.
The two airballs just showed how out of the rhythm he was. When Lin first got back to the game in the final quarter, he pushed up the tempo and drove to the paint a couple of times. But then, all of sudden, he didn't get to touch the ball much. I get the feeling that Lin needs to be the primary playmaker to get himself in rhythm, but this is obviously not the coaches' plan. Either he needs to adjust his game to fit the current system or the coach needs to find a better way to utilize his strength. But this is still early, and I am glad that they, as a team, competed well with the defending champ, who clearly played seriously tonight.
Comeon dude...I'm not all for diminishing any comparisons involving a GOAT but I won't even begin to throw some crazy GOAT stats your way. You're asking for a world of hate with this post bud.
