My 2013 NFL Mock Draft (3 Rounds -- I hope this is right spot and is ok to post this)

I run a NFL Draft website, http://www.draftwatchers.com/Home and I do some analysis, and I have been doing some mock drafts since mid season with real draft order.

I try to keep a good look out at team needs, I have an excel worksheet that I compile salaries for every player for every year in the NFL. If you want to see it, here's the link, http://www.draftwatchers.com/backups/nflsalaries.xls

And I hope this is allowed, and is right spot, if not than I apologize.

Round 1:

1. Kansas City Chiefs - QB Geno Smith, West Virginia

Analysis: The Chiefs are obviously not sold on Matt Cassel as the long term starter, so they turn to who they feel is the top QB in the draft, and a franchise QB in Smith.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars - OT Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M

Analysis: I don't see the Jaguars giving up on Blaine Gabbert so early, so they take a OT to help protect Gabbert.

3. Cleveland Browns - OT Jake Matthews, Texas A&M

Analysis: The Browns have a all-pro OT in Joe Thomas, and they need someone opposite him, so they take the other Texas A&M mammoth tackle, in Matthews.

4. Carolina Panthers - CB Jonathan Banks, Mississippi State

Analysis: It will likely be overhaul in the offseason for the Panthers, so they may have other needs, but they need help on the back end of the defense, and Banks is the top CB in this draft, a shutdown CB that they need. And who knows if Chris Gamble will be back, as he is always injured.

5. St. Louis Rams (f/Washington Redskins) - OT Taylor Lewan, Michigan

Analysis: The Rams have a solid core on the O-Line, with Wells, Saffold and Dahl set, and all they need is another Tackle and Guard, and now they pick up the Tackle with the 3rd best Tackle in the draft.

6. Tennessee Titans - OLB Jarvis Jones, Georgia

Analysis: The Titans have many needs, but they need a pass rushing OLB, and Jones is the top one. Plus Will Weatherspoon is in his final year of his contract, so they will be looking for one, and what better way then to get the top one in the draft.

7. Cincinnati Bengals - OT James Hurst, North Carolina

Analysis: The Bengals will need a OT, especially since former 1st round pick, Andre Smith, became a total bust. So getting Hurst to further help Andy Dalton in protection is a great find.

8. Oakland Raiders - NT Star Lotulelei, Utah

Analysis: Tommy Kelly is making a lot of money, and Desmond Bryant is on a 1yr RFA deal, so the Raiders could use a big mammoth inside at NT/DT, and The Utes big man would help tremendously.

9. Buffalo Bills - QB E.J. Manual, Florida State

Analysis: It seems the extension given to Ryan Fitzpatrick was the wrong move, so the Bills look for their franchise QB, and Manual will help in the process of bringing the Bills back from under .500 to a winning team.

10. Philadelphia Eagles - CB Jordan Poyer, Oregon State

Analysis: The Eagles may need another CB with Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie a free agent in the offseason, and Poyer would be a nice addition to their defense.

11. New York Jets - OLB Sam Montgomery, LSU

Analysis: Even though Montgomery could be a DE, the Jets take him as a OLB, as they have only Calvin Pace, who is heading into his final year on his current contract, at OLB. Plus they need more pass rushing help then they have right now.

12. Dallas Cowboys - OLB Bjoern Werner, Florida State

Analysis: The Cowboys are gonna need a OLB if Anthony Spencer is allowed to leacve as a free agent, and Werner is a good pass rusher who would fill that void.

13. New Orleans Saints - CB Xavier Rhodes, Florida State

Analysis: The Saints need help at CB, and with Jabari Greer a free agent to be, they go with the 3rd best CB in the draft.

14. St. Louis Rams - OG Chance Warmack, Alabama

Analysis: The Rams, already got their Tackle they needed, now get their Guard they need in Warmack, who is a big and nasty lineman that will fit nicely with them.

15. Arizona Cardinals - OLB Corey Lemoneir, Auburn

Analysis: The Cardinals have a good defense in the making and will need some pass rush help, so getting Lemoneir will be a huge gain for their defense.

16. San Diego Chargers - DE/DT Kawann Short, Purdue

Anal;ysis: Short is the best 3-4 end in this draft, and the Chargers need help at that spot.

17. Miami Dolphins - WR Keenan Allen, California

Analysis: The Dolphins clearly need help at WR, they traded Brandon Marshall to Chicago, and signed Chad Johnson, only to cut him a few weeks later, so WR is their biggest need.

18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - CB David Amerson, N.C. State

Analysis: The Buccaneers have little help at CB, with only Eric Wright signed long term, so they go with a top notch CB in Amerson, who has had some issues with injuries, but should help their secondary.

19. Detroit Lions - S Eric Reid, LSU

Analysis: The Lions have little help in their secondary, so they start by getting a Safety opposite Louis Delmas, of course if they are able to re-sign him. So Reid would help their secondary right away.

20. Minnesota Vikings - ILB Manti Te'o, Notre Dame

Analysis: The Vikings need help at certain spot, and ILB is one of them. Jasper Brinkley has done a good job, but if you have to chance to get the top ILB, you go for it. Te'o is a tackling machine and all around playmaker.

21. Seattle Seahawks - WR Terrance Williams, Baylor

Analysis: The Seahawks need to get more youth at WR, Sidney Rice has come on lately, but the signing wasn't what it was expected. Plus Golden Tate needs help for the future, and with only Baldwin also there, they go for a top WR in Williams.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers - NT Jonathan Hankins, Ohio State

Analysis: The Steelers have needs, and one will be NT, as Casey Hampton is getting older and older by the minute it seems, so they take the 2nd best NT in Hankins to fill the void.

23. Denver Broncos - ILB C.J. Mosley, Alabama

Analysis: The Broncos have a need for a ILB to take control of the defense, and Mosley is a proven one from Alabama. He is a good tackler, and a great leader.

24. Indianapolis Colts - OLB Barkevious Mingo, LSU

Analysis: With Dwight Freeney a pending free agent, the Colts take the successor to him, in LSU pass rusher Barkevious Mingo.

25. New England Patriots - WR Justin Hunter, Tennessee

Analysis: The Pats have little youth at WR, and with the futures of Wes Welker and Deion Branch uncertain, they need to get someone opposite Brandon Lloyd, so they take the best WR left in Hunter.

26. New York Giants - TE Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame

Analysis: The Giants need a threat at TE, and with Martellius Bennett on a 1 year deal, they take a the best TE in the draft in Eifert, who has been Notre Dame's top weapon on offense for whoever has been there QB.

27. Green Bay Packers - S T.J. McDonald, USC

Analysis: The Packers let Nick Collins go when they released him, and McDonald is a hard hitter, so I can see him fitting into the Packers defense.

28. Baltimore Ravens - C Barrett Jones, Alabama

Analysis: With very little needs, the Ravens go for the future Center in Jones, who could play anywhere on the line if needed.

29. San Francisco 49ers - S Kenny Vaccaro, Texas

Analysis: Vaccaro has been rising up draft boards, and it is uncertain if the 49ers will be able to financially keep Dashon Goldson around, so they go with the next best Safety in the draft to fill the void.

30. Chicago Bears - OG Jonathan Cooper, North Carolina

Analysis: The Bears have had no luck with Guards, Chilo Rachal was a bust in San Francisco, and is on a 1 year minimum deal, so they need someone for the future, so Cooper fills a huge need.

31. Houston Texans - NT John Jenkins, Georgia

Analysis: The Texans have a huge need at NT, with none of their signings working out, so they take the 3rd best NT in Jenkins.

32. Atlanta Falcons - CB Desmond Trufant, Washington

Analysis: The Falcons may need a CB, Dunat Robinson hasn't lived up the contract they gave him, plus Brent Grimes may leave after being hurt for the season, so Trufant brings youth and speed to the secondary.

Round 2:

33. Jacksonville Jaguars - WR Tavon Austin, West Virginia

Analysis: The Jags need another WR, with the trade of Mike Thomas makes it more pressing. They could use the speed Austin brings to the table.

34. Kansas City Chiefs - CB Micah Hyde, Iowa

Analysis: The Chiefs just let Stanford Routt go with his release, so they will need another CB to start opposite Brandon Flowers, and Hide would fill the void.

35. Carolina Panthers - WR Stedman Bailey, West Virgina

Analysis: The Panthers continue with the overhaul, this time on offense, with a WR to help the offense, and Bailey is a dynamic, and fast WR.

36. Tennessee Titans - DT Sharrif Floyd, Florida

Anaysis: The Titans need some stability indie on the defensive line, and Floyd is rated highly, so they get a tough, run stuffing DT to help that stability.

37. Washington Redskins - OT D.J. Fluker, Alabama

Analysis: While I feel Fluker is a 1st round talent, I couldn't find a spot for him, but Washington needs a tackle with only Trent Williams there to protect Robert Griffin III.

38. Cincinnati Bengals (f/Oakland Raiders) - OLB Jelani Jenkins, Florida

Analysis: The Bengals have little at OLB, with only Dontay Moch locked in, as Manny Lawson is on a 1-year deal, so getting one of the top OLBs would be a big win for them, as Jenkins is a tackling machine.

39. Buffalo Bills - OLB Damontre Moore, Texas A&M

Analysis: The Bills have only Nick Barnett with experience as a solid OLB, so they want some youth at OLB, and Moore brings that, plus tackling, and pass rushing skills.

40. Philadelphia Eagles - S Robert Lester, Alabama

Analysis: The Eagles need to get a solid Safety after releasing former 2nd round pick Jaiquan Jarrrett. Lester will bring tackling abilities.

41. New York Jets - WR Robert Woods, USC

Analysis: With the season ending injury to Santonio Holmes, plus with only last years 2nd round pick Stephen Hill as a future starter, the Jets need to look more towards the future, and Woods will help with that, as he is a big sized WR, with good speed.

42. Dallas Cowboys - C Khaled Holmes, USC

Analysis: The Cowboys are gonna need a Center, with Phil Costa a free agent to be, so theyy take the 2nd best Center in Holmes.

43. St. Louis Rams - OLB Brandon Jenkins, Florida State

Analysis: The Rams need help at OLB, with no real long term solution, so they take a solid OLB in Jenkins.

44. Cincinnati Bengals - DT Sheldon Richardson, Missouri

Analysis: The Bengals need to find some help at DT, and Richardson would help a ton. I haven't seen a lot of his tape, but he has risen up draft boards. And he can also play DE, which is also a need for Cincinnati.

45. Arizona Cardinals - QB Tyler Wilson, Arkansas

Analysis: The Cardinals really need to get a real franchise QB, and Wilson has much more potential than either Skelton and Kolb have.

46. Miami Dolphins - ILB Nico Johnson, Alabama

Analysis: The Dolphins need to look to the future, and ILB is a need, as Karlos Dansby makes way too much money, so they go for a solid ILB in Johnson from Alabama.

47. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - WR DaRick Rogers, Tennessee Tech

Analysis: The Buccaners do have Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams as starter, and Arrelious Benn as the 3rd WR, but Rogers would bring a lot of speed and dynamicness to the offense.

48. Detroit Lions - DE William Gholston, Michigan State

Analysis: The Lions need a DE in case they lose Cliff Avril via free agency.

49. San Diego Chargers - RB Montee Ball, Wisconsin

Analysis: The Chargers need stability at RB behind Ryan Mathews, and Ball is a top notch RB, and with Marcus Lattimore's injury, Ball is the top RB.

50. Seattle Seahawks - OLB Sean Porter, Texas A&M

Analysis: With Leroy Hill as free agent after 2012, the Seahawks could use a OLB pass rushing threat, and the other Texas A&M OLB will fit in.

51. Minnesota Vikings - WR Marquess Wilson, Washington State

Analysis: The Vikings need more weapons for Christian Ponder, and Wilson is a highly productive WR.

52. Denver Broncos - OG Dallas Thomas, Tennessee

Analysis: The Broncos need a Guard opposite Chris Kuper, so they take a solid OG out of Tennessee, who has been rising up the boards.

53. Miami Dolphins (f/Indianapolis Colts) - OG Alvin Bailey, Arkansas

Analysis: The Dolphins are bulding for the future, and look to help Ryan Tannehill more by adding a top jotch OG out of Arkansas.

54. New England Patriots - NT Jesse Williams, Alabama

Analysis: The Pats need to get younger on the defensive line even more, so they take a big mammoth inside from Alabama in Jesse Williams.

55. Pittsburgh Steelers - ILB Alec Ogletree, Georgia

Analysis: The Steelers need to think future, and ILB is a huge need, so Ogletree, who is rising up the boards, will go nicely alongside Lawrence Timmons.

56. Green Bay Packers - RB Andre Ellington, Clemson

Analysis: The Packers need stability at Running Back, and Ellington will bring that. He is a fast back, with good vision.

57. New York Giants - CB Branden Smith, Georgia

Analysis: The Giants need to find someone who will fill the void that is left everytime a CB gets hurt, especially Terrell Thomas, so they fill it with Georgia's Branden Smith.

58. San Francisco 49ers - NT Sylvester Williams, North Carolina

Analysis: The 49ers will need a NT if they let Isaac Sopoaga go in free agency, so they take a big NT in Sylvester Williams from UNC to help fill the void.

59. Baltimore Ravens - ILB Shayne Skov, Stanford

Analysis: With Ray Lewis' future up in the air, the Ravens need to look for the next great ILB, and they hope they find it with Shayne Skov.

60. Houston Texans - OT Ricky Wagner, Wisconsin

Analysis: The Texans need to fill the void left when they cut Eric Winston, and Wagner has been a hot name at times, and should be there when they pick.

61. Chicago Bears - S Baccari Rambo, Georgia

Analysis: The Bears have to improve the secondary, and Rambo will help do that. Rambo is a hard hitter.

62 Atlanta Falcons - WR Tavvares King, Georgia

Analysis: The Falcons, although, have a great starting tandem at WR, they go and get a good athlete at WR in King.

Round 3:

63. Kansas City Chiefs - DE Bennie Logan, LSU

Analysis: The Chiefs could possibly lose Glenn Dorsey in free agency, and they do need depth so they take Logan to shore up the D-Line.

64. Jacksonville Jaguars - OLB Chase Thomas, Stanford

Analysis: With Daryl Smith a free agent to be, the Jaguars look to shore up there linebacker core with Chase Thomas.

65. Cleveland Browns - S Tony Jefferson, Oklahoma

Analysis: The Browns need to shore up the Safety position, and Jefferson is a hot name, and for good reasons, he has had a great season in Norman, Oklahoma.

66. San Francisco 49ers (f/Carolina Panthers) - OLB Jackson Jeffcoat, Texas

Analysis: The 49ers need depth at OLB behind Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks, so they take a pass rusher in Jeffcoat.

67. Washington Redskins - S Matt Elam, Florida

Analysis: The Redskins need a Safety badly, Madieu Williams is on a 1 year deal, Tanard Jackson is suspended, and Brandon Merriweather isn't dependable, so they get a high riser in Elam.

68. Tennessee Titans - TE Dion Sims, Michigan State

Analysis: The Titans will need a TE if Jared Cook leaves via free agency, and Sims is a hot TE prospect, and only a junior, so who knows if he declares.

69. Buffalo Bills - ILB Kevin Reddick, North Carolina

Analysis: The Bills could really use a ILB to helop shore up the Linebackers core. And Reddick is a good one, with great tackling, and good leadership.

70. Philadelphia Eagles - OLB Gerald Hodges, Penn State

Analysis: The Eagles have tried everything at OLB, and it hasn't worked out, so they need to add youth to the group and talent, so Hodges should fill in.

71. New York Jets - CB Tyrann Mathieu, LSU

Analysis: Mathieu has had a ton of issues, with off field violations that led to him being kicked off the LSU football team, to arrests, but he has talent, and Jets take a chance on him.

72. Dallas Cowboys - DE Margus Hunt, SMU

Analysis: The Cowboys need help at DE, with Kenyon Coleman a free agent to be, and Jason Hatcher ready for his last year on his contract in 2013.

73. New Orleans Saints - DE Josh Boyd, Mississippi State

Analysis: With Will Smith having a high cap number, and likely gone, the Saints need to fill the void, and get a good DE like Boyd.

74. St. Louis Rams - S Shawn Williams, Alabama

Analysis: The Rams take a safety to develop and have compete for a starting job.

75 Cincinnati Bengals - DE Jordan Hill, Penn State

Analysis: The Bengals need some help at DE, and with them taking as DT in Richardson, they take a solid DE in Hill from Penn State.

76. Oakland Raiders - QB Matt Barkley, USC

Analysis: The Raiders take a QB for the future, as Palmer can't last forever, so Barkley is brought in, with the hopes of being the future.

77. Arizona Cardinals - OT Xavier Nixon, Florida

Analysis: Levi Brown is always injured, and they have no depth, so Arizona takes a OT for that purpose.

78. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - S Vaughn Telemaque, Miami(Fla.)

Analysis: The Buccaneers keep adding to the secondary as Ronde Barber is a free agent after this season, and may or may not return.

79. Detroit Lions - CB Rod Sweeting, Georgia Tech

Analysis: The Lions keep improving the defense by taking a CB to shore up the secondary.

80. San Diego Chargers - NT Kwame Geathers, Georgia

Analysis: The Chargers could use some youth at NT, as Antonio Garay, all be it is a good NT, but he is getting older, so this pick makes sense.

81. Miami Dolphins - WR Cobi Hamilton, Arkansas

Analysis: The Dolphins keep adding talented weapons, and this time adding another WR too help Ryan Tannehill's development.

82. Minnesota Vikings - RB Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina

Analysis: The Vikings can use another RB in there system, so taking Lattimore isn't far fetched.

83. Seattle Seahawks - TE Joseph Fauria, UCLA

Analysis: The Seahawks can use a TE, as the Zach Miller signing has worked out the best, and Evan Moore was more of a 1 year guy.

84. Indianpolis Colts - DT A.J. Francis, Maryland

Analysis: The Colts need to get some bigger lineman on the defensive line, and Francis will hgelp out.

85. New England Patriots - OG Gabe Jackson, Mississippi State

Analysis: The Pats could use some deopth at Guard. As Brian Waters status is unknown, and Dan Connoly isn't getting any younger.

86. Pittsburgh Steelers - RB Kenjon Barner, Oregon

Analysis: Thge Steelers may be in a dilema, as they have soome issues at RB. Jonthan Dwyer and Rashard Mendenhall are free agents to be, and Isaac Redman appears to be hurt a lot, so getting a fast RB in Barner is a good win for them.

87. Denver Broncos - CB Johnny Adams, Michigan State

Analysis: Tracy Porter is on a 1 year deal, and Champ Bailey is the only CB signed long term with experience, so getting a good young CB in Adams would help out tremendously.

88. New York Giants - OG Travis Frederick, Wisconsin

Analysis: The Giants are in need of youth and depth in the O-Line, so taking Frederick is a smart move.

89. Green Bay Packers - WR Conner Vernon, Duke

Analysis: The Packers could use a WR, with Donald Driver a free agent after 2012, so getting one is a need.

90. Baltimore Ravens - S John Boyett, Oregon

Analysis: The Ravens can use depth at Safety, so this make sense.

91. San Francisco 49ers - C Dalton Freeman, Clemson

Analysis: The 49ers may need a Center if they release Jonathan Goodwin.

92. Miami Dolphins (f/Chicago Bears) - OLB Jonathan Brown, Illinois

Analysis: The Dolphins can use depth at OLB, so Brown makes sense.

93. Houston Texans - ILB Jonathan Bostic, Florida

Analysis: The Texans could use ILB depth, and Bostic is the best available.

94. Atlanta Falcons - TE Chris Gragg, Arkansas

Analysis: Tony Gonzalez isn't getting any younger, and is a free agent after the season, so they get his potential replacement.

OL help is what the Eagles need. The only other thing I could see them taking in round 1 is a QB.

True, I guess Chance Warmack would be a good pick for them in round 1, or a Tackle. QB could be the wild card if they let Vick go. I think it's possible even though he is owed good amount of money, but would be wise to cut ties asap.

He may be, but if Blaine freakin' Gabbert can get chosen in the top 10 then I think some GM will undoubtedly snag Barkley waaaaaaay before round 3. I'll honestly be shocked if he falls out of the top 10 come draft time. And there's just a 0.0% chance any team will take Manuel with Barkley still on the board.

Otherwise, I think it's pretty good work. I think you may have underrated Damontre Moore and overrated Jake Matthews. I also am pretty positive Alex Okafor is going in the first two rounds.

Damontre Moore will not be available at 39. He is going to go top 20 and if his evals dont say he is going to be that high a draft pick, he wont even be in thisdraft IMO
