I am OCD when it comes to my writing and am in a profession where I spend most of my time writing. So I have decided to invest in a few good grammar books. I would like one that is good as a reference guide and one that is more detailed and thorough. So far, I am leaning towards Woe Is I but thought I could get some additional suggestions here.

I would list the names of a few books that I am thinking about but I am on my phone and it is too difficult to type.

Nevermind - I see you write for a living. That's what I get for trying to read and post at a stoplight.

 I learned grammar in ESL classes, and slowly picked up on a few other things here and there, and I also learned with "The Scott, Foresman Handbook for Writers (look for the current edition)" in college. It had everything I needed to know.

For Grammar Examples in the real world, try
The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation - "look inside" the book in the link

If you're writing letters and notes to people, I would recommend:
How to Say It: Choice Words, Phrases, Sentences & Paragraphs for Every Situation [Hardcover]
    by Rosalie Maggio

There may be others out there. That book has helped me lots when trying to convey my point across. It has not helped here with ClutchFans... ;)
 That was a good effort. I fixed a couple of mistakes for you.

Grammer is easy, spelling is not.

Nowadays, people don't use their brain anymore... they use "SPELL CHECK."
