That's one way to start the season. Piland better pick it up fast.

Wow, this defense is looking worse than two years ago. Hopefully Piland can step it up to give Sims some help.

I didn't think we'd be very good this year, but this is even worse than I expected.

    I miss Case.

UH doing well on the ground, but the passing game hasn't been good and trying too hard to pass when the run is working is what's killing their drives.

Receivers dropping very catchable passes. Defense is terrible. Sims is the lone bright spot on the team so far.

UH will need to outscore the Bobcats by 53 in the second half to cover.

ultimately, we need to learn how to pass to be successful. And we got a lot of learning to do. Piland looks like crapolini. WR's look like crapola. Defense looks like crapasagna. I mean who taught these guys how to tackle. but even worse, they aren't even in a position to tackle.

UH lost all of their offensive minds and replaced them with a special teams coach and an FCS OC. I know Levine said he wasn't going to call plays and leave those duties to the coordinators, but if you're going to do that, you can't go from what you had before to a first time FBS coach without expecting a dropoff. It can be done, but when you "reach" for virtually every new hire in the new regime, from the head coach on down, it's probably not going to produce good results and certainly not immediately. That, combined with the loss of Keenum and other offensives starters wasn't a good omen.
