Has anybody read the book? It's one of my favorites of all-time. This trailer looks like it will give the book justice.

I think we should keep this thread spoiler-free. People who haven't read the book will hate it if they find out what the story is really about. Heh heh.

That's too bad if you're gonna judge a book by its cover. The story contains one of the most intriguing climax of all-time.

I read the book before, but I've totally forgotten the plot already.

Also, nice to see SpaceCityKid getting work as an actor.

Seriously, man? The ending was so unforgettable and turned the entire adventure upside down.

Never read the book but as a big fan of Ang Lee this look visually stunning. The only thing that I don't like is that it's too lifelike like it's shot for Discovery Channel à la The Hobbit 48fps. But I guessed they need to go with this approach because it's will register better in 3D without the blurriness. Hope this will be showing at TIFF.

    I absolutely hated this book.
The plot twist was unique though. I was just completely uninterested by the premise however.

On a side note I can't wait for the Great Gatsby. Now THAT is a book I enjoyed thoroughly.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. And Ive gotta agree with VanityHalfBlack: it was still better than 90% of what hits theaters nowadays. Have you checked the marquees lately?
