    $8.5 M a year seems rather low. If HOU was willing to offer (as rumored) at $7.5M a year for either Lin or Dragic. What's another $1M?

    That's basically what we did offer. Morey's deal started at 8 mil per in the first year if the reports were correct.

    I think this has more to do with the other factors than salary. The 10 per thing was just a negotiating position. Either way, we are screwed. Knicks will match anything we throw at Lin. We will be left with a disgruntled Lowry.
