    I'm still not following how President Bush (who left office in 2008) attempted to repeal a Wall Street reform bill that didn't exist (even in it's earliest form) until 2009.

    Again, was there a time machine involved?

    Hah...ok fine. I'll reiterate my question.

    How does Bush try to repeal Dodd-Frank when he left office in January 2009, and Dodd-Frank didn't exist until:
    1. First as an initial proposal in June 2009
    2. Introduced into Congress by Chris Dodd and Barney Frank in December 2009

    Come on CaseyH, do a quick search and you'll see that he has posted outside this forum.

    Still ignoring the fact that Dodd-Frank didn't exist while Bush was president?

    Even if you're just mistakenly talking about another bill, I'm still not sure which recent high profile bill "forced foreclosures" like you say.

    - Dodd-Frank was about Wall Street Reform
    - Fannie/Freddie takeover aimed to minimize foreclosures
    - EESA/TARP was passed to minimize foreclosures
    - ARRA had foreclosure assistance
