    I'll do this but only if my Anglicised spelling still counts as correct, because there's just no way I can write 'colour' without a 'u' or 'colonise' with a 'z'. It would freak me out. Am I automatically disqualified?

    Almost same here. 5th grade spelling bee champ of Winborn Elementary. I got 10th place in Katy district, highest anyone from my school had ever finished! :D
