    He made one obvious good decision and one bad.

    The good - He broke up with the crazy ex which in hindsight was obviously a good move.

    The bad - He went back to said ex after dumping her for another woman a few days prior.

    He should have quit while he was ahead

    She's being unfairly judged. If a dentist with no ties to the patient did this then it'd be brushed off as just another dentist money grab.
