I am disgusted to see the ball hogging techniques of Stevie Francis and Cuttino Mobley.
Dont get me wrong Stevie Is The Franchise- but unless he gets a better Assist/Turnover Ratio and give up the Ball to Yao he really will hurt the teams chances.
Personally I would Trade Cuttino- If he does not put up the numbers and continues to take a zillion shots- we just dont need him.

I just dont understand why Rudy was so excited about Bostjan and he hardly gets playing time- I hope he gets to play gainst a weaker team- We seriously need a Steve Kerr Equivalent on this team, our 3 point scoring is really pathetic.

    Bring On Bostjan!

    Go Rockets;)

My guess: Rudy saw some tape of Nachbar and it looked really good. He came in and shot lights out and showed pretty good movement. A minor injury really set him back and, when the preseason and practices started, it was eradily apparent that Nachbar just couldn't hand defensively. Go back and watch the preseason and early season games and you will see this is the case. Offensively, Nachbar is having a difficult time adjusting to a more isolation oriented NBA game. Certainly, he would be doing better off in a Dallas or Sacramento type scheme offensively, but he still wouldnt get much PT there due to what he doesn't bring in other areas.

I, too, was baffled by as little PT he has gotten this season. But as the time goes on, it is more and more apparent that he is NOT our small forward for this year or the immediate future. Why else did we just bring in another SF? Why else can't Boki get any time, any time at all in a game? Rudy can't come out right now and flat out say he just isn't good enough yet, but I imagine that is the case.

You guys want another reason Nachbar isn't getting PT? He's a player under contract for 4 years, and Rudy probably believes his production will not be signifigantly higher than that of Tmo.

It's more important to the Rockets to evaluate the talent they have to make a decsion on in the comming offseason, resigning Morris, than it is to force a rookie to do more than they believe he's capable of right now. If Nachbar was head and shoulders above Morris he'd be playing. I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

But all things being close to equal, it's better to give Morris the time because a choice has to be made about his future with the Rockets at the end of the season. They still have Boki for 3 more years.

I think that is exactly the point.

Minor injury! If ever your lower gut muscles are cut, I promise you will not think it is a "minor injury." This happened to me in my youth, and I can still feel the twinges 20 years later. It took months to walk without being reminded of the surgery. Methinks Nachbar came back too early and that's why his shooting touch went south. Now they are letting him recuperate properly while learning the NBA game. My prediction: look for a lot of Boki in the spring.

When he did play in "garbage time", he did pretty good...

He only scored 14ppg in the European league. We have too many SF's now. Like the Portland Trailblazers...so many guards.

DoD should just make a "Play Boki" thread and make it a sticky.

This has to be at least the 20th or 30th thread of seen on this subject.

I trust in Rudy. If Nachbar isnt playing, then Rudy must feel that those that are ahead of him give him a better chance to win on the court.
