Can you really say he has sources when he's wrong about 80% of the time he opens his fat mouth? Manning probably isn't coming here but to say he isn't coming isn't exactly going out on a limb. And by the way I've been watching football at every level for 25 years so I'd say I know plenty about the game. McClain is a douche.
This is what I was thinking. Pancakes has generally had a good track record when reporting on the Texans cap situation (aside from his lack of knowledge when it comes to restructuring contracts) but has generally always been off the mark or just dead wrong when it comes to their free agents pursuits.
Agree with this. I know htownrox doesn't want Manning here and/or doesn't think he's coming here(which very may well be the case) but to say McClain is an insider and knows what he's talking about -- lulz. Is that a joke? Very few take the guy seriously.
profootball talk on the internet has more insider info...so just by me checking out that website, my sources give me more info than his sources.

I know you love to pick on McClain but the fact is that he has YEARS of experience in his field and no doubt through those years he has gained insiders. Are his sources right 100% of the time? No. But he has more info than you, me, or anyone here.
No of coarse not. He's a douche because of his arrogance. Listen to him when he's on the radio or follow one of his chronicle chats with fans. He's attitude towards some fan questions reeks of someone who is an arrogant prick. And I always do stay classy.
He's more credible than you buddy. I don't see you having 30k followers on twitter. All of his followers no doubt go to him for information. Do you work for the Chron? Do you get radio air time that you deserve? Didn't think so.
Oh course McClain has sources but that doesn't mean they are right. That said htownrox1 what is McClain's track record when it comes to reporting accurate Texans free agency news? Hell you don't even have to go that far back. Lets use the last free agency period for an example where he was being just as adamant with his reporting as he is being today. What were the instances where he was right and what were the instances where he was wrong during the last free agency period?
