    I would do it. Maybe even without the guarantee of an extension. I think Howard would like it here and we could convince him that teaming up with Lowry and our excellent front office would be good.

    I'd do that every day, even if we knew for a fact he wouldn't resign. Championship contenders, at least for a year, would be way better than spending the next three years hovering around contention.

    They aren't going to get much better IMO. The teams who Dwight has professed a willingness to sign an extension with don't have the assets to make a better deal than the one mentioned in the story. The ones who he won't sign an extension with may not offer as much.
